The jungle will come to life in the desert when Tuacahn Amphitheatre presents the regional premiere of Tarzan--the Broadway musical based on the popular 1999 Disney film and beloved story by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

This classic tale begins when an early 1900 shipwreck leaves an infant orphaned on the West African shore. The helpless baby is taken under the protection of a gorilla tribe and becomes part of their family. When he eventually encounters his first human--Jane Porter, a curious young explorer--both of their worlds transform forever.

Tarzan features the songs from Disney's film as well as nine new songs written specifically for the Broadway production. The show's Grammy� Award-winning musical score, written by singer/songwriter Phil Collins, propels the energy and imagination of this literary favorite, making this a "must see" at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre in 2010.

Fuddy Meers revolves around an amnesiac, Claire, who wakes up every morning as a blank slate, on which her family must imprint the facts of her life. On this particular day, the shenanigans begin with Claire being abducted by a limping man who claims to be her brother trying to save her from her evil husband. They drive to the home of her mother, who has had a stroke that left her aphasic (her attempt to say funny mirrors provides the play’s title). The ensuing mayhem is both deliriously funny and oddly touching.

Head down to Henderson's Water Street District to kick off the national 2010 Fireball Run Adventurally & its Race To Recover America's Missing Children. Mayor Andy Hafen, along with Henderson Chamber of Commerce president, Kirk Clausen, will wave the green flag, signaling the beginning of the race at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, on Water Street, in front of city hall.

Seventy five teams comprised of successful industry leaders from around the country will participate in the annual car rally event that has partnered with the KlaasKids Foundation in the Race to Recover America’s Missing Children. Fireball Run has already aided in the recovery of 32 missing kids in the United States. Each team will rally across the country over nine days with one missing child featured on their car and distribute fliers along the entire 3,500-mile, 18-city route to raise awareness.

Fun: There are several booths set up for children to experience pets hands-on and to participate in crafts, activities, and educational presentations, and demos.

Raffle: We have amazing raffle prizes donated by the local community.

Pet Policy

To ensure the fun and safety of all:

* Only bring well trained pets who are not aggressive and are well-mannered in public.
* Do not bring pets that are stressed by crowds.
* Consider carrying small pets so that they are not stepped on by someone who doesn't see the pets.

Art in the Park is one of the largest outdoor juried art festivals in the Southwest and is the largest fundraiser for the Boulder City Hospital Foundation. The event is free to the public, and although Boulder City's population is just over 17,000, the event draws over 100,000 visitors.

More and more children were dying in the polio epidemics of the 1950’s. Jonas Salk worked night and day to create an effective vaccine using a method that defied conventional wisdom, and it was delivered to millions by the March of Dimes, the largest peacetime mobilization in American history. By 1953 the Salk vaccine had reduced polio deaths by 80%, but the storm of controversy it caused left Salk's reputation in tatters. This new original play chronicles a thrilling episode of American medical history that touched many of you directly. Rated G.
